About Sydney Eventing

Sydney International Eventing

Sydney International Eventing (SIE) is a dedicated group of volunteers supported by Equestrian NSW who run the Sydney International Horse Trials each year at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre – the world class equestrian facility and former Olympic venue. Many of the members of SIE were volunteers at the Sydney 2000 Olympics and have a strong attachment to the venue and ensuring it is continued to be used for international equestrian competitions.

The Sydney International Horse Trials is a feast of equestrian action.  This year’s event includes eventing, show jumping and entertainment for all the family.

Once again we have Mike Etherington Smith as our cross country course designer for the CCI3*. Stuart Tinney will be designing the CCI2/CIC2 and CCI1/CIC1 and EvA 105 courses.  Mike designed the cross country courses for the Sydney and Beijing Olympic Games.

Our Patron is former National Coach Wayne Roycroft (pictured), who has not only coached three Australian Team gold medals (Barcelona, Atlanta and Sydney) but also played a significant role in the creation of SIEC for Sydney Olympic Games.

We would like to thank Wayne for his ongoing support of this world class venue and event.
